House church
Whether it’s your first time at church, or you’re searching for a place to grow, we invite you to join us! We meet as house churches (named Maple and Cedar), starting with lunch 12 noon at the Haven apartments, right across from the UBC campus.
Contact us for more info!
-
At the newly built Haven apartments! Corner of University Blvd and Wesbrook Mall across from campus. We meet in the living room of mentors' apartments in the Haven.
-
We will post a mentor downstairs to open doors and let you in. You can also contact any mentor you know or DM us at thegrovevancouver [Since it's newly built and we're just moving in, we're still figuring out the process ourselves, please bear with us]
-
Yes! We will start with a delicious homecooked lunch around the table, incentive to be on time!
-
We'll start with lunch, then open up a Bible passage and study it together to see how God wants to speak to us, and have time of connection with God and one another.
-
We want to be intentional about building community for college students and think House Church is a perfect environment to do so. We want to live out the picture of an Acts2 community that was in and out of each other's homes (see Acts 2:42-47)
-
Starts at 12pm and ends at 2pm, or whenever you want! After our study of Scripture, you can go home or stay as long as you want! We're serious about community and welcome students to hang out in our living room, bring your books and study together or just chill.
-
They're the same but just in two different homes for maximum space! Feel free to go with whoever invited you! If you are new, we can simply direct you to either one when you arrive.
-
Please speak to us regarding ways you'd like to serve, we'd love to see you using your gifts. To start with, always welcome to come earlier and help with cooking or setup!
-
Come as you are! The Grove has a casual and welcoming atmosphere, so feel free to dress as you like.
-
Unfortunately, no. Because we're right across the street from the UBC bus terminal, we welcome you to take public transportation. But if you have special needs, please do let us know and we'll try our best to accommodate.
